Is there a historical reason why so many countries' independence days in July?

    This may not be true, but my AP European History teacher had a hypothesis about this. She thinks that it has to do with the high temperatures that typically occur during July. The high temperatures caused people to become irritated with the old order. This was especially true in France during the French revolution, if you take a look when most of the riots and uprising occurred; it is during the summer months
