Why do some mothers state their babies age in months when they are over a year old? Example my cousin said her baby was 22 months old instead of a year and 10 months.

    I guess people think it makes their babies sound younger & cuter for a longer time. Personally, I think it's stupid and always told my kids' ages in years & months after they were past the 12 month mark.
