the sun?

I can think of so many things it could be but they don't necessarilly fit the entire riddle. So I will name a few things I thought of: Cold, Heat, water, cool breeze, alcohol. Any of those correct?
by Anonymoose on January 9th, 2007
I've a sneaking suspicion this is a trick... since every answer I can come up with falls down on some aspect of the riddle, I suspect the answer is "No, I can't guess it", since that is the actual question that is asked. If kids get it right more often than Harvard grads then that would be because they give up quickly and are not as afraid to admit when they don't know something!

ooh now I really want to know what it is.
by Red_Smartie on January 10th, 2007
Actually it is a trick, they say it's a matter of humility ( that is why he speaks about the harvard and kindergarten percents ), but there can also be another plausible solution wich is NO. For children, that's: No, I can't work it out. But it also means " Nitric Oxide " which has a relevant role in the body, but that's the natural sciences part...
by Kumbaya on January 10th, 2007
How does nitric oxide make you cry though? Only in a very, very, extremely indirect way as far as I know.
by ChrisDG on January 12th, 2007
And in what way do you pop when you look at nitric oxide? I'm sorry Kumbaya, nice try at looking clever but no cigar for you.
