Whenever I move a user made family into a house in SIMS 2, the house gets all choppy with its graphics. What can be done to avoid this?

    It would help if we knew more about your system, but I'll hazard a guess.

    It's probably your graphics card. I had a similar problem with user-created families until I upgraded mine. A few questions: Are you seeing all the cinematic scenes and transitions? Can you see reflections in mirrors? Do you sims cast shadows outside? If not, I'd wager a graphics card fault is the problem. Try upgrading. You can get a reasonably good one for less than $100.

    There's another possibility, too. Are you running any downloaded hacks? Does the family you're using contain lots of downloaded custom-content, especially those with user-created meshes? If so, one of these might be the culprit. Try deleting any hacks you might be running (back up your game first) and try again. Does that help? Try creating a family with just Maxis-made material. Any better?
