If your partner's sister told you a secret she'd been hiding from the family for three years, what would you do?

    • What if you feel strongly about keeping secrets from your partner, and never agreed to do so...she just expects it?

    • Obviously the secret must be something dramatic if she's kept it to herself for three years. She would know if I was inclined to tell her brother everything, so therefore surely she wouldn't tell me in the first place. Your secret is only a secret until you tell someone (sounds like I've contradicted myself there!)so my Uncle used to say. Personally I take information given in confidence seriously, and if I'm asked not to say anything I tell no-one ...not even my husband.
