Road rage is when a traffic situation is escalated because of one or more drivers acting out of anger or rage. For example, a person may become so angry over an aggressive driving incident that he or she overreacts and retaliates with some type of violence. These violent acts may range from a physical confrontation to an assault with a motor vehicle or possibly a weapon.

It's not the road rage itself that is illegal, it is the acts of violence that result from this rage that are illegal. No one can tell you how to feel, but you are expected to handle those feelings in a non-violent way which does not negatively impact others.
