I have a personal superstition that the less attended and elegant (i.e. the more bare-bones) a wedding is, the more likely a wedding will be shorter and not last. I also superstitiously think that if a marriage takes place in an outdoor venue and not indoors, then it isn't as likely to last. A rain or other kind of less-than-ideal weather could ruin a wedding, after all. As for indoors, I think if it's at a courthouse rather than a church, then it will also be less likely to last. Please feel free to prove me wrong if you can. I've held on to these superstitions since I was younger.
