sweet, i'd better go buy a handgun since i'm a female, just to make this more confusing. i already know how to shoot one well enough...

It ain't good to buy a gun which will stay in the house for a long time. But if you buy it, you are willing to shoot somebody. Why will you need a gun in your hands?
If you gonna rob a bank, thats cool to buy it and if you get caught, your ass is in jail. who wants to take that chance.
Let me tell you wat i would do if i buy a gun.
My job will be to fight a crime and bring peace to the innocent peaple. I hate bad guys, especially those killers.
by C-fighter on January 9th, 2008
Riiiiiight. So, your job would be to shoot those killers, presumably in a killing way yourself. Then wrestle with the paradoxical dilemma you have put yourself in, in which you are forced to kill yourself as well.

interesting point. @c-fighter: i would buy a gun because i enjoy shooting (at non-living targets). also, i would be willing to shoot anybody who breaks into my house. i'm not a fan of violence, but when it comes down to protecting my own life, i'll make an exception. the key is to be comfortable and familiar enough with that gun so that you could actually use it properly in a panicked situation. that's a big problem for some people. anyhow, i guess when it comes down to it - i am willing to shoot somebody, but only with good reason.

also, it sounds like it would make more sense for you just to become a police officer. then you'd have more info about the crime around you and also, you could get better training. although, the police it's not as if cops never shoot innocent people... bad aim, bad judgement, bad ethics -- all valid reasons why that happens.
by zee-ster on January 9th, 2008
Well, becoming a police officer is not my point. But, helping police officer is. You know, i would never think of hitting inocent peaple or shooting them. That was my thoughts. I understand if you buy a gun for your own protection but if you are buying it to hurt peaple, i dont agree with you.
by C-fighter on January 11th, 2008
gotcha. no, i don't have any interest in hurting people. there's enough other hateful people in this world doing that already. personally, i would like to see: peace, peace, peace, and peace. then i wouldn't even need to worry about somebody breaking into my house!
