    The media and "Suge" Knight.

When I say the media, I'm referring to The Source magazine which took comments made by both Tupac and Biggie completely out of context, in an attempt to boost sales.

Knight sort of did the same thing, except he started spreading rumors that Biggie had said certain things about Tupac, which were sure to piss Tupac off, as Knight was jealous of the success that Biggie and Sean "Puffy Combs and Bad Boy Records were having at the time, and saw Tupac as a way to boost Death Row Records staure in the rap music industry.

The very, very condensed version is that Suge Knight poisoned the well between Tupac and Biggie.

    • Tupac and Biggie were cool until Tupac got shot 5 times in New York. From then on he felt that Biggie and Puffy set him up
