In the UK, Australia, & NZ, what are the relative popularities of football/soccer, rugby, cricket, and Australian-rules football? Like, is football/soccer first, with rugby more of a niche and a lot of people think cricket is for poofters, or what?

    NZ; rugby, cricket, soccer, Australian football
    Australia; cricket, Australian football and rugby are all very popular. Soccer is not as big.
    UK
    England; soccer ahead of rugby and cricket, then Australian football.
    Scotland; soccer, rugby, cricket, Australian football
    Wales; rugby, soccer, cricket, Australian football.
    Northern Ireland; Gaelic football and soccer most popular, then rugby, hurling, cricket, Australian football.
    UK overall; soccer, rugby, cricket, Australian football.

    • I didn't know they even PLAYED Australian Football in the UK. Maybe expatriate Aussies play a bit over there. They do play a bit of Aus Rules in Ireland, so they can play the mixed rules game (a blend of Australian and Gaelic football) against us.
      They don't play AFL in NZ, either - at least not at a recognisable level.
