Can the center lateral the ball from the line of scrimmage?

    The ball can be lateralled to I believe, a quarterback, fullback, halfback/running back, tailback, tight end, slot receiver, or a receiver in motion. I think he cannot lateral it to another offensive lineman that is an ineligible receiver. But this is only if it is a snap/the ball is being hiked. If it is a fumbleroosky play (excuse spelling) where the ball is hiked by the QB and set down right below the center, then the center can lateral to anyone behind the line of scrimmage, because it would be deemed a fumble and a run (pitch).
