Since no one else has explained it, I'll try:
In Pig Latin, the first letter or sound of the word is moved to the end of the word and is followed by "ay". I guess it gives it a Latin-esque sound, but I've never really thought about it.
"Pig Latin" would become "Ig-pay Atin-lay"
