If you have a scratched disc (this works with any CD, DVD, PS, etc) apply toothpaste (dry) directly onto the disc, rub it around it with your finger (trying not to get it into the center of the disc) then take a napkin or kleenex and wipe it off. If it doesn't come all the way off, use a LITTLE bit of water or spit to help it ease off. Then vuala! You have cleaned your disc, plus it smells real nice. *The crystals in the toothpaste fill in the gashes and scratches and also lift off any of the smudges or little irritating marks (it doesn't look BRAND new though). Oh, and be sure ALL of the toothpaste is completely off before your next usage.

**A note on god of war's comment: Then you did it wrong. I have used this method (as well as tons of my friends) for years and it always works. You probably didn't wipe off ALL of the toothpaste or used too much or got it on the center of the CD, or used too much water or left residue of the tissue used on the CD etc. In closing, you didn't read my answer very well.
