My Lexmark x4270 all-in-one printer will print three pages well, but after that the ink fades. What can I do about that?

It could be a couple things. First, its time to change the ink cartridge. If this is a new cartridge, take an alcohol swab or pad and clean the point on the cart where the ink comes out. Also, check on the inside bottom of the printer to see if any ink is visible. If so, use the pad to clean it. Replace the cart and try printing.
