Why are people so germophobic these days? I don't remember people so concerned about dirt and germs when I was a kid.

He's heading for Japan. We can afford the trip itself, but wanted to give him some extra spending money without totally messing with our budget!

He's been studying college level Japanese through the local high school for the past few years. He can speak Japanese and can write thousands of Kanji. I am very proud of him, and he has earned this trip. He will be attending school there. One week in a public school, and one in private. He will stay with Japanese families and get immersed in the culture. How could I not let him go?!
