ok you would'nt call them terrorist but do you agree with there violent actions, and how would you describe these actions?.
by BOOZE HOUND... nothing is nonsence on May 17th, 2008
I am not aware of Greenpeace doing ANY violent actions. Certainly not as violent as the IRA, Al Queada, or the UK and US military.
by freeluncher on May 18th, 2008
firstly the u.k and u.s state armys can not be clased as terrorists because there acting on orders from democraticly elected govenments, and by sujesting it your are insulting the memory of the men who have died defending are way of life from groups such as al quida. And you have'nt answed my question,do you agree that violent action mainly from peta are acepterble?.
by BOOZE HOUND... nothing is nonsence on May 18th, 2008
I disagree with ALL violence, Booze Hound, whether by PETA or anyone else. You know, according to the majority of the dictionaries I own, terrorism means 'the threat or use of violence in pursuit of a political aim'. If the US and UK military carry out acts which "terrify" people and are for a political reason, then it is terrorism, pure and simple. Besides, havent you heard the phrase one mans terrorist is anothers freedom fighter?
by freeluncher on May 18th, 2008
yes i've heard that saying and from my perspective they are terrorists (maybey it's a bad way of describing them so from now on i think we should call them "violent activists") but if you lived near one of these facilitys and know people who have been put in hospital or forced to flee there home because of the actions of PETA and similar organisations.Plus i think your missing the point the question was'nt asking about the meaning of the word "terrorism",it was simple asking what your opion is on there actions and terrorism was the the word used.
