The Sun is about 149 million km (93 million miles) from Earth. This is the average distance; since Earth's orbit is an ellipse, not a perfect circle, the Earth-Sun distance varies slightly throughout the year. The average center-to-center distance from the Earth to the Moon is 384,403 km, which is about thirty times the diameter of the Earth.

    • hehe wiki strikes again! I knew the 93 million miles ( 1 AU) distance from the earth to the sun. I C+P the exact same info about the moon from the wiki site.
