Help answer this question below.

I've heard saliva is good for cuts. I don't know if it actually makes them heal faster, as cuts in the mouth heal rapidly, too, or if it's as an alternative to soap and water when they're not around or if . Growing up in the suberbs, it worked well.

    The mouth is the single dirtiest place in your body (dirtier than your anus, now think of that!). Your asking for an infection if you try to use saliva to treat your wounds.

    • saliva in actuality does promote the healing of wounds so the above post is inaccurate.
