You're reading I've heard saliva is good for cuts. I don't know if it actually makes them heal faster, as cuts in the mouth heal rapidly, too, or if it's as an alternative to soap and water when they're not around or if . Growing up in the suberbs, it worked well.

saliva in actuality does promote the healing of wounds so the above post is inaccurate.
