There were monsters under my bed that would reach out and grab my ankles if I was too slow getting out of bed, so I had to jump down and run!

    • Mine was if I was too slow getting INTO bed, so I always made a flying leap, avoiding the floor around the bed. LOL.

    • I still do that but i am fairly young and I have a long time left to live and I don't want to die, so jumping is the only option

    • I was that way too. Like mac1896 I did the flying leap, and like tpt123 I jumped and ran from my bed. It was so bad at one point my dad had to get "monster spray" (water with purple food coloring and sparkles) and spray it around my bed so that I could go to sleep at night.

    • Hee hee. I was the same way! Old habit die hard, I'm 22 and I still do a little jog across the room and hop into bed!! I also have to put something in the middle of my bedroom when I go to bed if its clean... a chair or something. It feels weird to have a big open space there!

    • Me too! My dad always watched "Bonanza" and I remember watching an episode when I was young where Little Joe was chasing an Indian. The Indian hid under the bed but when LJ looked he wasn't there. He had raised himself up against the mattress and had his hands and feet spread eagle holding on to the rails. I always looked up and under my bed every night!
