We pay property tax so as not to be assessed fines and penalties.

Why does the government collect property tax?

Well, someone has to pay for infrastructure like roads and utility lines and government services. So, property tax takes care of that.

    • "Covering for utility and roads???" ummmmmm. The governor gets money for many of those needs that could follow under property tax...so does my home association. I feel it is just another way the government is taxing us to death.
