Why are books sometimes read and enjoyed without a concern for the relevance of it? Should we learn something or simply be entertained?

    That's why we have genres like fiction and non-fiction. And we can be entertained by any book. Relevance is completely subjective.

    • good response...entertainment is subjective as well, books are art in the eye of the beholder...and there is plenty of bad art to go along with bad books...wait a sec, got something in my eye
