Can police enter your home without a search warrant

    From what I understand, local police need a warrant or probably cause but federal officers can do anything they please.

    Under the Patriot Act, they can search your home without your knowledge.

    • A warrant is still needed under the Patriot Act, but the process for getting one is not as transparent as normally required.
