My vet makes WAY too much. Probably more than my doctor. He charged me 3 x more for pills for my dog than I would pay if I bought them to take for myself!! (the same pills identically!).
Owning a pet can be very expensive, especially as they get older. My vet probably makes $500,000+ a year. He lives in a $900,000 home. Works 4 days a week.
Your vets mileage may vary.

I don't think you know what vets have to go thru to become a vet. It is harder to get inti vet school thatn medical school so they deserve to make some money. Vets can be over $100,000 in debt before they star to practice! Also, your dog does not have insurance to pay for his pills like people do. Maybe you should look into insurance for your dog and the pills may not cost as much. But bottom line is that we love our pets and are willing to do what it takes to keep them healthy.

Don't just throw random numbers on sites like this... Some people may actually believe your untruths! There's no way legitimate way your vet is making $500,000+ a year... the average salary is $70,000 and even those at busy practices are lucky to break $100,000. My wife is a vet and she makes a whopping $60,000... not nearly enough to be worth the difficult admission process (harder than med school) and the 4 long, difficult years of our life. Not to mention that student loans it takes to become a vet. They're more than our house payment! There are no scholarships for vets... BTW my wife works 4 days a week as well; what you don't know is they work long hours. She averages 12hrs/day. Sounds to me like you need to go to a different vet and stop spreading hate for veterinarians. I sincerely hope you live in Hollywood, or the rich area of San Francisco or something to even fathom that your vet makes $500,000+... I'd love to know where you live so we could move there and get a salary that's worth the sacrifices we've made.
