I'm constantly criticized & met with sarcasm,here on AB, because I am a police officer. So many seem to have a problem with authority/police, Why?...theres laws, break them, theres repercussions, it's not that difficult to stay out of trouble is it?

My son is a sergeant at our county's sheriff's department and just last week we had a discussion similar to this. He stated that a full 90% of the officers he personally knows have personality and behavior problems. Cops are people, but they're people who are issued badges and guns and have authority over other people and, of course, that's bound to attract bullies and people with emotional & psychological problems. Not all officers are like this, anymore than all doctors are pill pushers, but the reality is, a lot are.
