    I had the same problem. I think it's a DNS problem since the PS3 is able to get an IP.

    To fix this, I changed the PS3's DNS server to match my DSL router. I have a DSL router connected to my phone line and a Linksys WRT54G router connected to that. I made one of my PS3's DNS servers match the DSL router's DNS server and put the other DNS server on the PS3 as the IP of the DSL router.

    Give that a try. Or if it doesn't work, please explain your network setup in more detail.
