You're reading My seagate go harddrive has stopped working, the light doesnt come on and my pc wont pick it up. I havent dropped it, it just suddenly wont work now. Is it completely bust or does anyone know how to fix it?
Comments
nope, however i think i have figure out what is qrong. i was fiddling around with the lead to the hardrive and i bend it up slightly and it started working, bend it down again and it stopped so it must be the wire. I have got all my information back off it anyway luckily lol

Yep, that can happen as well. Had it happen to me on an internal 3.5" drive. Glad you have sorted it out and your data is safe. Most Seagates have a 3-5 year warranty so check and see if you can't have it replaced. Good luck!
