I have studied art history and went to art college, but for graphic design. I will go with weird. I never really found the appeal in cubism or surrealism. I'll give him points for going against the grain of what was popular in his time, but in the end, his work never stood out for me.

About 15 years ago I saw a painting at a famous museum in Amsterdam...It was a minor piece by Picasso. It was composed of a simple vase
