I am 24 years old and still single. I have been into a couple of short term relationships. But now i am looking for something serious and long-lasting. And i am afraid that i would never find true love. What should i do?

You will find the right person when you stop looking for him/her. If you look at every person you meet as a "prospect", you may miss the chance to get to know someone special.

Expand your social network. Join a social activities group - find a hobby and meet people that way, join a church, do volunteer work, participate in a sport...whatever floats your boat. You will meet more like minded people that way. Don't turn down anyone who is a potential friend. You don't know who they know and you may meet someone special through a chain or series of introductions.

Relax - getting in to a relationship for the sake of being in a relationship is the wrong way to begin. You should begin by just meeting all sorts of people and finding people you like to spend time with.

Be happy just being by yourself - if you are looking for someone just for the sake of not being alone, you run the risk of becoming co-dependant very quickly.

When the time is right and you are in the right frame of mind, the right situation with the right person will present itself to you.

Otherwise, join a dating service - because that way you know that everyone you meet is interested in dating - but I don't recommend that yet!
