If you add the numbers 1-100 consecitively what would you get?

    I got 5050,my math teacher told us that when we do stuff like this we pair the numbers up,starting from 100+1,then 99+2,then 97+3 untill you get up to 50+51,each of these sums will add up to 51,and since there are 50 of these sums,101x50,which is equal to 5050.
