If you wear seeing glasses, how often do you take them off when you eat?

I am so blind, and have been wearing glasses so long, I feel naked without them. I can imagine what it would be like at the dinner table sitting across from squint, squint all night. Very distracting. I'd probably stick a fork in my bread instead of my potato, and don't even let me think about using a knife when I can't see.

I have to use two pair of glasses when I do the computer, a magnifying lens on top of my regular 1/4 inch thick glasses, and the page type set to very large. I usually get about 1/4 of each page on my screen at one time, and have to scroll across to read everything.

I'm just glad that modern science has made glasses affordable and comfortable. I used to have very heavy lenses, but now lightweight. Everyone in my family wears them and it has always seemed natural. I'm just sorry that Lasik surgery or contacts can't help me.

Yeah, maybe one day there might be something that can be done: but like you said, the glasses these days aren't too bad in the meantime.
I know a couple of people who don't even really need them but wear them just to look stylish in their trendy frames. :P

I love the fact that I don't need them to eat or use the puter but use them to drive and watch the tube though. Myopia is like that.

yup i totally know where you afre coming from Yarnlady im exactly the same as you i would be squinting form hell to see what was on my plate for one far less to see who was sat opposite me you know. I hate being so deoendant on my glasses the minute i wake up
