I'm assuming you mean the tube was sucked into the injector.
Most likely, the tube will limit or block fuel flow through the injector. This will cause the associated cylinder to misfire, or not fire at all. There are a number of problems this can cause... In the short term, it probably won't hurt. Even so, don't run the engine until you can get it removed! When one cylinder isn't firing properly, the temperature difference puts a lot of stress on your engine block. A block is a tough beastie, so it'll deal with it for a while. The drawback is that it is still damaging the engine, just not enough to make it fail right away.
I'm sure this mishap can cause other forms of damage, and I'm not knowledgeable enough to list them all, but you won't hurt anything by fixing it, and you will by not fixing it. Hope that helps...

    • Not to be rude, but this answer should be disregarded, a tube could never be sucked through an injector. Your engine is fine!
