Which means what? Prejudice and ignorance are the reason? People have a vast underlying psychological aversion to those characters being in the same word? Please explain.

People have a deep ingrained hate of Satan and anything to do with him. It would be like a Church of Jesus that wasn't christian at all. Probably wouldn't go over too well in the Radical Islamic world right now.

But the thing is, it's not like a "Church of Jesus" having nothing to do with Christianity, Satanism in 'this' form, has been around for basically thousands of years more than Christianity (It's an mix of Pagan beliefs)...
Realistically, the surprise should be in Christians Satan having nothing to do with Pagan religions :P
