Question

Help answer this question below.

Ever since I was a child, I have been finding small metal rods in the street. They are about 20-25cm long, about 2mm wide and less than 1mm thick. I believe they are made of steel, but not stainless. What are they?

The rods you are finding are most likely bristles from a street sweeper brush. The ones I used to find look almost like the last 12 inches of a dipstick without markings on it.
