The onboard computer and the speedometer.
You might need to check out both.

You're reading I have a 1985 chevy silverado 305, I've rebuit the dist. and it ran great for a couple of months. Now I have no spark to plugs. I have proper voltage to the HEI, could this be a problem with the computer control module in the dash?
