This is tricky, and I should mention I've only read excerpts of his books. However...
Ken's 'Theory of Everything' is a philosophical exercise which seeks to unify modern, rational observation (that is, science) with subjective, spiritual reality. Many philosophies, and most religions, admit to the existence of subtle or 'supernatural' energies and states. So far, it has been exceedingly difficult to objectively measure such forces. Psychology offers hints of the depth and complexity of human consciousness in its many states. Elements of quantum mechanics could conceivably correlate to subtle, or magickal, energies. These metaphysical theories have not been disproven by modern science.
Ken Wilbur's success is to explain the relationships between science and mysticism, and physicality and spirituality, so that the contradictions inherent in each view largely vanish. It is named a 'theory of everything' because it seeks to unify science and spirituality. This unification parallels the quest for a 'grand unified theory' of the fundamental physical forces.
You'll get a lot more from his books if you have a solid background in philosophy, logical thought, psychology/sociology, and spiritual or mystic traditions (particularly those with cohesive psychomagickal or metaphysical models). Of particular importance, read up a bit on yogic meditation and states of consciousness or being. Hopefully someone will devise an experiment to verify the existence of metaphysical phenomena, but until then, philosophical methods are our only recourse.

    Hope that helps...
