Help answer this question below.
I think there are some 14 year olds that could theoretically drive and be safe. (Not many but a few) I also know for a fact that there are many people that are 21 and older who are crappy drivers and I wonder how they got their licenses.
To me 16 is a fair enough age to get a license. It gives people a chance to practice at just the right age. People are getting jobs about now as most people start highering at 16 so a car is a great way to transport yourself if parents or public transportation is unavailable.
