So, you aren't sure if the pipe is for heat? it just gets hot? I'm not sure i would do it. can't you get a longer wire and go a different direction? I'm not sure i would take the chance of the wire melting!

i have a chevy s-10 extracab and want to install 2 10" subs and amp combo, what kind should i get and under $250? (space isn't a problem)

You're reading I am tryint to install an amp in my car but the only way i can find to get threw the fire wall is nxt to a pipe that may be for the heat however i do not think it gets hot enough to melt anything but i wanted another persons opinion
