Help answer this question below.

I have a '06 Civic EX auto sedan. "Check engine light" keeps going ON. Brought to the dealership twice already and it came on for the 3rd time. They said it's a solenoid problem?? Engine makes a Growling sound and "skips" when driving. Anyone know?
