Help answer this question below.

I own a 1998 Ford escort zx2 with a 4 cylinder engine. My heat gage is reading zero. There is heat coming from the heater and the engine is not over heating.

    It sounds like you have a broken temperature sensor. It is relatively inexpensive and easy to replace.
