The earliest known reference to a toothpaste is in a manuscript from Egypt in the 4th century A.D., which prescribes a mixture of powdered salt, pepper, mint leaves, and iris flowers. Many early toothpaste formulations were based on urine. However, toothpastes or powders did not come into general use until the 19th century.

    • Ewwwwwwwwwww! So groooooooss! Yuck! (Shiver) I hate talking about urine, but their's this culture called the Mongels and for their energy drink they mix goat milk and goat urine! And, while chasing their enemy on horseback, if they get thirsty, the prick the horse in the neck and drink the blood, and only take a bath once in their ENTIRE LIFE, if they get married! So uncivilized!
