Help answer this question below.

Why do some people say they dont believe in christmas/god, and demand that god be taken out of the pledge of alligance, and that stores do not say "merry christmas" and so on, yet they have a christmas tree at home, and still open presents?

    They fear the one true faith but want to partake in its holiday's.

    They also think that we should have some kind of society where no one could possibly be offended and havn't yet learned that people will be offended by anything and we should stop doing things just because 2 people say they are offended.

    • yeah but people can be offended by anything. people may be offended by not saying merry christmas... or in any other case. there is no way to please everyone. lol

    • "The One True Faith". You sound really silly. You know how you feel about someone trying to convert you to Islam? Well that's how I feel about people uttering things like "The One True Faith". So check yourself.

    • Actually, there is no true faith! Some believers are bad to try to force their beliefs upon everyone, and that is tyrannical. The First Amendment forbids a state religion, and that is great! It is unconstitutional to force beliefs upon everyone or anyone. I do not observe Christmas, because China is atheistic. I do not insist that our former gods Yu Ti or Pan Gu be in the Pledge of Allegiance, but thye have as much right there as God.
