I guess everyone who suffers from this have learnt their own methods if they've been sufferers for a long time.

My personal method is heed the warning signs and get home from work or wherever i am.
Although I feel sick I will eat something and take an anti-inflammatory drug such as Ibuprofen (Brufen) which seems to help take the edge off it.
I will then sit in front of my gas fire to increase my core temperature (well I get quite hot anyway) with a large glass of orange squash to sip to keep my fluid level up, the lights turned right down and the television on quietly.
Bizzare I hear you say, yes but it works for me.
I cannot go to bed as lying down seems not only to increase the pressure in my head but the quietness and darkness seem to make me concentrate on the pain as opposed to forget it. See the vicious circle.
With the television on, my attention is drawn away from the pain and I suppose the fire helps to relax.

If they bring out a drug to duplicate this I think it would have to be an amnesia type to forget I have a migaine.
I am a firm believer that some of us have a migraine to remind us that our body is suffering from some sort of stress and the migraine is the safety valve going off.

My quote: "I'm getting a headache because I deserve one"
    Good luck to you all.
