How is it possible to swallow your own tongue?

    It's not possible to actually swallow your own tongue (unless you cut it off first, of course). It is, however, possible to suffocate from your own tongue if you're unconscious and your tongue falls back into your throat.

    • My aunt died from "swallowing her tongue" She had a seizure and a heartattack. She was epileptic. I was 2... that was 28 years ago. My Grandma, her mother, found her lying on the floor, blue.
