    Depends how you define "progress".

    If by 'progress' you mean the ability to have and acquire 'stuff', then yes we are immensely more advanced.

    If by "progress" you mean man evolving from a primitive amoral brute, then looking out at the world, it seems we are regressing!

    • One might say that morality has evolved to match human nature, and the archaic values of ancient religions cannot be revised to match the times.
