How long, on average, does an Xbox last?

    The mobo part of it should last a LONG time... but I have a v1.0 box (bought first day on market) and the Thomson drive started giving me the "Dirty Disc" error about a year ago. The DVD is the first to go, followed by the HD probably, and finally perhaps the power supply.

    My system then lasted about 4 years - later systems with better DVD drives (Samsung sd-605 or HP) should fare better.
