While, it is certainly bad for someone who's overweight to overeat, there's a distinct difference between asking someone NOT to smoke versus overeating.

Someone's smoking affects everyone around them. It has been proven that second-hand smoke can and does lead to health-risks such as lung cancer, etc.; whereas, overeating doesn't directly lead to someone else having diabetes, heart attacks, and other health-related problems associated with overeating.

I've never heard of anyone dying vicariously from being surrounded by too much food or overweight people, who are in the process of overating.

Therefore, it is only acceptable to tell someone that their overeating is a bad idea, should only occur when it's a friend, or relative.

Otherwise, you have no right telling a complete stranger that they shouldn't be overeating, even though it is certainly true that overeating has a myriad of health-related risks, too!

    • you are sadly mistaken, there has NEVER been one case that could be proven, NEVER....it may not help a sickness ,either your own or someone else's but it is not PROVEN to be the cause of lung cancer....too many die from lung cancer that have never smoked, and most cancers once operated on go straight to the lungs...
the only time to tell a smoker is when they are around you, you move or the respectful smoker will...
