Correct!

Hey AR. How you doing out there. I have heard that you guys have been having some pretty rough nights lately around here.
by Perryman on December 15th, 2006
I haven't been here the last couple of nights, as it is finals week for me. I missed most of the action, but have been attacked for my beliefs. I guess that's what I get for being open about it. I don't mind respectful, logical, supported debate. You know I don't...we do it a lot. I feel a little down, though, at the content of some recent things. I feel a bit unwanted. However, I want you to know that I realize this is NOT indicative of the behavior of most Christians. It has given me more respect and appreciation for the rest of you! :)

Yes indeed, some of these cats forget who it is that they claim to represent.
One has to be Christlike to represent him.
Remember the line I said about two weeks ago that I would much rather talk with Wiccans than a Born Again Crazy . This is what I meant. These kind of folks.
In my door to door ministry. I have had people pull handguns on me three times, (simply for just showing up at their door- not even getting to say a word).
I think that I would still prefer that than getting tied up with one of these crazies.
by Perryman on December 15th, 2006
I like how you classify people who are trying to help you in the category with those wielding guns. I do represent Christ and the love He has for us all. I have a hard time understanding how you can claim it's anything else? You can't defend yourself so let s get together with all the other "JW s" and ignore the good questions being asked. Perry, you sure do have a lot of time on your hands to answer these other questions. I do this out of love and I regret that you think of it as anything else. By the way, ancient Egyptians also had a great flood and a Messiah Tammuz who was killed and resurrected. It's amazing how you deny some ancient teachings yet hold on to others. Just because someone treats you bad at your door 2 door work doesn t mean what you're sharing with them is truth. Imagine I am you at your door. You are acting no different to me than what you claim others do to you. You don't have to talk behind my back. I'm not worried about my feelings being hurt. God be with you!

You sit here and bad mouth Christians because they are able to show you faults in your theology, and call them "crazy". There is a word for that, and I believe it has something to do with having two faces. You call yourself Christian? You've got fellow brothers in Christ trying to help you, and you make fun of them. We should all be one helping each other help others find Christ! I'm still praying for you perryman. If I'm not mistaken I believe Christ was called crazy by the Pharisees! Hummmm...and He was perfect! (yes, I really do pray.) God be with you.

Perryman, I have long been a fan of Egyptian culture and mythology. I also find some of the Wiccan views to be quite interesting... Now the Babylonian/Sumerian creation epic has some interesting similarities to certain parts of Genesis, but that's a separate question for another time.

Christianity is not the first religion to come up with the trinity.
by Don Gorgeous George on October 6th, 2008
No, Mr. JD, it wasn't. In fact it's rather a johnny-come-lately in that regard.
by xhepera on February 4th, 2009
This is just another piece of evidence that reveals that christianity was created by men who borrowed ideas from religions that predated it.
by Don Gorgeous George on February 4th, 2009
Yes, as all religions (except perhaps the extinct "proto" ones) have done whether they will admit it or not. Say what one will about the Bible. Sometimes it gets it right. Ecclesiastes 1:9 ;)

The Original Gods are not extict.
by Don Gorgeous George on February 4th, 2009
Nope, they're not. Never said *they* were. ;)
by xhepera on February 4th, 2009
True dat.

It is my understanding that Isis, Horus and Osiris were three separate gods, not One God in unity as with the God of Abraham, Issac and Jacob.
by Ananamiss on September 3rd, 2009
You're quite right Ananamiss. They were a "triad" not a "trinity." Many people don't get the difference unfortunately.
