Is it true that 1 marijuana joint= 5 cigarettes combined or is it just propaganda from the goverment?

    It is not bullshit. A study was conducted by Dr. Donald Tashkin of UCLA, and he concluded that it has a ratio of 1:5 like stated; he also stated that it's most likely inaccurate, and that a more accurate answer would be 1:2. But that is tar wise. Overall, marijuana is much better for your lungs than tobacco is. Tobacco contributes to terminal illnesses such as lung cancer and emphysema; marijuana does not. :)

    • This is true. Putting any smoke into your lungs is harmful, but some studies have shown marijuana does not seem to contribute to lung cancer.

    • One thing is for certain and that is that smoking joints burns your throat massively more than any cigarette, filterless or not.
