If you freeze a gold fish and then unthaw it will come back to life?

    Definitely not. But there are some frogs that you can do this to and they will come back to life.

    • There's actually a good amount of research into the natural "antifreeze" that some amphibians produce to keep ice crystals from forming inside their bodies, which normally would puncture cell walls causing death. Maybe someday WE'LL have this nifty ability as well!

    • My brother and I froze a frog, and yes it did come back to life after 2 weeks in the deep freeze. This was about 47 years ago.

    • If that is the case it can be argued that these amphibians were never frozen to begin with but only in a state of suspension, but you can also argue that suspension is a state of being frozen.
