Captain: Think of it this way. If you fill a glass full of ice and add water and you decide not to drink it,,when the ice melts does the glass overflow. No way.

The sea level wouldn't change because of the Arctic ice but the salinity would significantly drop, disrupting global ocean circulation and climate.

Also...there is land-based ice in the north. The melting of all of the ice on Greenland would significantly change sea level.
